Can’t believe someone liberated the dog that had been confined in the cellar for weeks.



Without a doubt, animals are very special creatures, with loyalty and gratitude far beyond any bad experience they have had to go through.

For weeks, this little bulldog’s cries and barks turned into desperate cries for someone to come help her while she was locked in the basement of an empty house in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Luckily, a few good Samaritans living in the area heard the noise only signifying distress, and without thinking, they decided to investigate what it was.

Their hearts shattered into a thousand pieces after they entered the house after finding the owner of the house, who allowed them to go down to the basement in exchange for the dog’s water dish stuck inside.

What kind of person is capable of doing this?

The noise they heard from outside was the poor little dog calling for help.

Crouched on the cold floor is Gracie, a 2-year-old bulldog, hungry for affection. Gracie quickly ran to her rescuers, hugged them tightly and showered them with kisses and more kisses.

The rescuers wrote on their Facebook account that they had found a sweet little dog who needed a lot of love, attention and care . They also warned in her message that some organization would come for her.


“His paws were covered in feces and his voice was totally hoarse from barking. She is absolutely desperate for attention and food. She is so sweet. Can someone please rescue this dog?

When Queen City Bulldog Rescue (QCBR) staff saw the information, they immediately went to the vacant house to help the desperate animal.

Chelsea Muenzer, founder of QCBR, said that perhaps Gracie had been used for breeding and was no longer profitable for her owner, who agreed to let her go because she was no longer pregnant for $200.

Despite her bad experience, Gracie showed love to everyone she knew, especially those who rescued her from that dark basement.


“She craved the human touch! The moment we got in touch with her, she immediately trusted us and knew she was safe.”

When Gracie left the house where she was staying, it was the first time she felt a breeze and was able to breathe fresh air for possibly years.

Grateful for her freedom, this pup seemed determined to make the most of every wonderful moment.

He ran and rolled on the grass with an indescribable smile on his face. Her grateful and happy expression means everything to all those who helped set her free.

Gracie was treated for a skin infection and underwent sterilization surgery.

Her adoptive family fell in love with this adorable, cuddly and sweet bulldog. Gracie has found a loving home for her.

Away from the darkness of the basement, he learned what it means to be a beloved pet.

Since the day she was saved, Gracie has shown a large and noble heart, full of love to give and the desire to receive care and pampering. Sharing this wonderful story, fortunately, had a happy ending.
